Welcome to the first entry of my blog.

I feel that I should probably say a few words about myself and the purpose of the blog, and what you can expect from it.

I have been into computer games and programming for a very long time (25 years or so). I’ve worked in the games industry for the 10 years, ranging from small 1 man projects to large projects on the very latest consoles with teams of 15+ programmers. I have also worked with business software, like fund management systems, cash machines, and database systems prior to my involvement in the games industry.

Also, I have always been working on my own little projects for as long as I can remember. I’ve dabbled in a lot of different things on lots of different platforms, ranging from games in the Commodore 64 Shoot’Em Up Construction Kit, through assembler demos on the Atari ST and up to graphics engines using the very latest hardware and techniques.

Even since before getting into computers I have been a big fan of boardgames and pen&paper roleplaying games (a swedish RPG inspired by Dungeons & Dragons, called “Drakar & Demoner” being the favourite).

After doing these things, I feel that I might know a thing or two that might interest other people. So this is a place for me to share those things, with those who are interested.

Expect this blog to be mostly about games, programming, game development and similar things.
Also, I have opinions on things, so this will double as a soapbox for me to rant about… you guessed it… mostly games, programming, game development and similar things.

I’m not aiming for this blog to be a daily one or something like that. I’m going to write in it when I feel I have something to say.
